Regional Manager, Program Training (Latin America) - Bilingual Spanish
Make a lasting impact across Latin America! Lead transformative training that strengthens human trafficking prevention, survivor-centered care, and brighter futures for vulnerable youth.
Overview
Since 1972, Covenant House has served and advocated for youth and young families experiencing homelessness, human trafficking, and exploitation. Our overarching goal is to end homelessness among youth and young families by helping them achieve housing stability, heal from trauma, tap into their innate resilience, and hone their interests and skills to forge new pathways to independence. This work is carried out across Covenant House sites in 34 cities in the US, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras.
Since 2022, Covenant House in Latin America has partnered with the State Department and its Office for Trafficking in Persons to prevent, protect and pursue trafficking and exploitation crimes. Building on an existing intervention, the position will further strengthen human trafficking prevention and protection for children aged 12-18 who are survivors or are at high risk for human trafficking in Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico. From a prevention perspective, the role will strengthen the capacity of service providers, communities, youth, and survivors themselves to identify victims and address root causes and enabling conditions that allow trafficking to persist. From a protection perspective, our sites in Latin America are in the process of adapting the enhanced, evidence-informed Covenant House Program Model, our approach to care and centers our work on helping young people reach their goals, build a lasting sense of belonging, and sustainably end their experience with homelessness. The position will further strengthen trauma-informed, survivor-centered wraparound services by supporting this adaptation. As part of this process, we are enhancing our staff knowledge and capacities about trauma and its impact on the still-developing brains and behaviors of our young people.
Location: Honduras, Mexico, or Guatemala. Applicant must have legal work status in the country they will be working from. Salary will be commensurate with experience and contingent upon location.
