Overview
Since 1972, Covenant House has served and advocated for youth and young families experiencing homelessness, human trafficking, and exploitation. Our overarching goal is to end homelessness among youth and young families by helping them achieve housing stability, heal from trauma, tap into their innate resilience, and hone their interests and skills to forge new pathways to independence. This work is carried out across Covenant House sites in 34 cities in the US, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras.
About the Role
The Coordinator, Corporate Partnerships will lead the planning and execution of all corporate volunteer engagements (in-person, virtual, and remote activities) and help streamline corporate giving-related systems, processes, and communications for the Corporate Partnership program.
In this role, you will report to the AVP of Corporate Partnerships and will play a critical role in supporting our corporate partnerships program to increase revenue and exceed fundraising targets, while creating meaningful engagement opportunities. The ideal candidate has an interest in planning meaningful corporate volunteer projects, organizing cross-channel working ability to organize and streamline processes, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
This is a hybrid position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the planning and coordination for corporate service days (in-person, virtual, and remote volunteer events)
Track and execute all recognition activity for assigned corporate partners in alignment with stewardship processes
Support corporate partner relationship management and day to day communications
Work closely with the volunteer department to ensure appropriate record keeping of corporate volunteers and projects
Support the creation of marketing and communication materials for external partners including pitch decks, social media, website, and internal site communication
Actively participate as a member of the Development team by attending and contributing to staff initiatives and events, including volunteer activities, Sleep Out events, and other team engagements
Review data and prepare reports for corporate matching gifts/employer giving
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication skills via writing, public speaking and visual presentation
Exceptional customer service, tact, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Suite apps
Highly organized and able to perform multiple tasks concurrently
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with a strong attention to detail
Strong time management, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
Enjoy gathering and representing data through reporting
Interest in learning and growing within non-profit fundraising
Commitment to Covenant House’s mission to serve youth experiencing homelessness
Required Qualifications
At least one (1) year of project management and administrative experience
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Qualifications
Knowledge of Canva, Asana and EveryAction
Travel Requirements
This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of three days per week in the Manhattan office. Must be able to commute to the NYC Metro area on short notice.
The role also requires the ability to attend meetings and events as needed, occasionally on evenings and weekends.
Ability to travel once per year to New York City in January for our annual in-person traditions.
